“The CBI registered companies against the three former highest officials of Chhattisgarh – the main secretary, the common secretary and the general advocate – for the alleged attempt to influence the ongoing proceedings in the cases of Nargic Apurti Nigam (NAN) and enforcement against them,” officials said on Saturday (April 19, 2025).
“The case previously probed by the State Authority for Investigation of Economic Crimes was registered against the then common secretary Anila Tuej and then the main secretary of Alok Shukl, both officers retired, and then advocated the general Satisha Chandry Verma,” CBI spokesman said.
“The search was carried out by the CBI in the premises of two civil servants in two places in Raipur, which led to the restoration of some accusing documents,” he said.
The CBI claimed that the accused civil servants abused their official position to influence the ongoing procedure in the matter of Nargic Apurti Nigam (NAN) registered in 2015 against them in the case of EOW/ACB, Raipur and enforcement registered on that.
“According to digital evidence confiscated by the Ministry of Income Tax, the accused public employees have attempted several frustration of proceedings in the cases of NAN,” the statement said.
It is said that Mr. Tenteja and Mr. Shukla have expanded Verma inappropriate benefits to motivate him to “public duties in an incorrect way and secure bail” for them in the case of probing ED and EOW/ACB, Chhattisgarh.
“In order to seek a predictable bail, allegedly accused employees have changed documents concerning the procedural and departments of higher officers published in the State Investigation Office for Economic offenses and answers to NAN.
