The man who pretended to be a qualified doctor on Thursday was arrested on Thursday by the police Rachakond for the operation of an unauthorized clinic in Old Malapur in Nacharam.
The defendant, identified as Bikash Golaladar, 21, was reportedly acquired by the knowledge of general medicine in working at various clinics in the past. With the intention of making easy money, it is said that in the last six months he has set up a clinic and operated it under false pretexts, said Nacharam police officer.
“Despite any formal medical qualification or registration at the Medical Council, bikash printed on prescription in his name and began to treat patients. He performed medical evaluation and prescribed medicines without proper diagnostic procedures or legitimate authority, thus threatening the lives of unsuspecting individuals,” the officer explained.
Based on trusted information, the police carried out a raid in the premises and arrested it.
