The BRS Legislature Party will meet in Erravelli tomorrow

HYDERABAD

The Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) Legislative Party meeting will be held at party president and Leader of Opposition K. Chandrasekhar Rao’s farmhouse in Erravelli near Gajwel on September 6, ahead of the Legislative Assembly session that begins on September 7.

Mr. Rao is likely to give instructions to the party MLAs and MLCs on the strategy to be adopted in the session and people-related issues to be raised during the session by pointing out the failure of the government or the ruling party. However, Mr. Rao is likely to skip this session as well.

The party plans to raise issues such as the inclusion of private/patta lands in the prohibited list under Section 22A of the Registration Act and agitation by polytechnic students against the proposal to affiliate their colleges with the Skills University, which the government plans to set up by disbanding the technical education department that runs the polytechnics.

The opposition party also plans to draw attention to the government’s failure to fulfill pre-election promises. The party office has already sent a communication to the legislators asking them to attend the meeting held on September 6, which will be chaired by Mr. Rao.
