Srikakulam District Congress Committee President Sanapala Annaji Rao and other Congress leaders staged a protest in Srikakulam after the Uttarakhand Police registered a case registered against Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi over his remarks about a “purification” ritual being performed at Haldwani’s Ramlila site after he planned his grievances which damaged his grievances.
On the call of the AICC high command, the party held a rally and raised slogans against the NDA government.
Mr. Rao said the NDA government was promoting “false complaints” and cases against Mr. Gandhi because he opposed “anti-people” politics.
“A few RSS and BJP activists cleared the land because Kharge belonged to a scheduled caste community. It is nothing but untouchability. That’s why Rahul Gandhi demanded an FIR against these persons. But strangely, the Uttarakhand police filed a case against him after receiving a complaint from a local leader, Amit Kumar, on the orders of BJP leaders,” asserts Mr. Rahul among social people always wants a unit and an FIR. said Mr. Rao.
