The state government has decided to invite the chief ministers of all southern states for this year’s Mysuru Dasara.

A decision to this effect was taken at a high-level meeting convened by Chief Minister DK Shivakumar in Bengaluru on Thursday to review preparations for Dasara. The meeting decided to invite all major cultural ensembles of the state to perform in Dasara.

The Chief Minister said that he will discuss with Defense Minister Rajnath Singh about holding an air show. He also asked Mr. Singh and the concerned authorities to send teams representing the defense services to participate in the parade and send a picture depicting their services.

The Chief Minister directed the authorities to include new features like Chitra Santhe, Flea Market and Veterans Rally.

He also directed them to appoint a minister to monitor the programs on a daily basis in addition to the district in-charge minister.
