Vizag Beach Road traffic restricted overnight till September 20 due to Agniveer recruitment rally

The Army recruitment drive under the Agniveer program began at the Indira Priyadarshini Stadium in Visakhapatnam on Wednesday (September 2, 2026). It will continue until September 20. About 10,350 candidates from all the districts of Andhra Pradesh are expected to participate.

The district administration has provided drinking water, sanitation, electricity, lighting, toilets and barricades for the gathering. A 1.6 km running track has been prepared from NTR Circle to Beach Road. Medical teams and ambulances were available at the site and at the run site, and a fire brigade and generators were also arranged.

Traffic and security measures were implemented in coordination with the army recruitment office, police and other departments. Candidates have been advised to appear at the venue on the scheduled date and time with the required documents and original certificates.

Vehicular movement will be restricted between Park Hotel Junction and NTR Circle from 11pm to 7am till September 20.
