The ED raided the residence of a wanted ganja supplier in Cyberabad’s Nanakramguda

The searches of the Executive Directorate (ED) were part of a money laundering investigation.

The Enforcement Directorate (ED) on Thursday (September 3, 2026) conducted searches at the residence of a woman allegedly involved in supplying marijuana (ganja) to customers in and around Nanakramguda in Cyberabad, Telangana as part of a money laundering investigation.

The searches were conducted at the residence of 48-year-old Neetu Bai alias Kalapathi Nithu Bai, a resident of Dhoolpet, who is wanted in multiple cases related to marijuana trafficking. He is currently on the run, officials said.

The ED has initiated an investigation based on an FIR registered by the Telangana Elite Action Group on Drug Law Enforcement (EAGLE). Neetu Bai reportedly escaped arrest during a special operation led by EAGLE in Nanakramguda in June.

According to officials, she allegedly operated from Lotha Basti in Nanakramguda and supplied marijuana to people, including software professionals working in the nearby IT corridor. She is suspected of continuing to operate through associates while remaining underground for more than a year.

The ED searches are part of its investigation into the alleged proceeds of drug trafficking and the movement of money associated with that activity.
