
The double Olympic medalist Neera Chopra launched his season 2025 by winning efforts for an invitation event in Potchefstroom in South Africa on Wednesday, April 16. The Indian javelin star won a gold medal and hired a six -member field at the peak of Potch Invitational Track.
Chopra registered the best hod 84.52 MA opened the season with performance increasing trust. He ended up in front of the 25 -year -old South African javelin thrower Douw Smit. Neeraj looked in good shape when he got into the first few competing throws of the 2025 campaign.
Only Neera and Douw managed to exceed 80 meters in the final of the men’s javelin on Wednesday. While Neeraje’s throw was under his personal best of 89.94 m, Douw approached his personal sign of 83.29 m.

Neeraj trained in Potchefstroom in preparation for the new season. It is expected that on May 16th will start their elite competitions on Diamond League in Doho.
