The Nationalist Congress Party (Sharadchandra Pawar) Supremo Sharad Pawar supported the demand of government job aspirants to increase the number of vacancies for the Maharashtra Public Service Commission (MPSC).
He assured the candidate’s delegation to deal with their concern with the main Minister Devendra Fadnavis. JPE, preliminarily scheduled for September, is a common preliminary test for contributions such as a police sub-in-inspector (PSI), a state tax inspector (STI) and auxiliary official (ASO).
“This exam is carried out after two years, but only 480 vacancies have been announced, which is insufficient,” said Mr. Pawar on the X -Social Media platform. He claimed that growing vacancies would increase the qualification age limit for candidates in accordance with the recent MoLSC decision.
“Government and MPSC should not have any objections to expanding vacancies because many positions remain unoccupied,” he added.
The delegation was also looking for a greater time to prepare for the main state -service test 2024. Pawar revealed that while the MoLSC chairman agreed to meet with students on April 15, the meeting was postponed. He called on the Commission to consider the requirements favorably and make a quick decision.
The protest of the applicants emphasizes the growing frustration of limited opportunities in the competing Maharashtra recruitment process.
Congress head Vijay Wadettiwar sharply criticized the government of Maharashtra for its obvious ignoring against the protesters against the MLSA applicants and accused the management of incorrect priorities.
Wadettiwar, who expressed horror on the ongoing protests, questioned the government’s focus and said: “What does he really manage this government? He rejects discussion opportunities, holds basic funds and prefers tea meetings with central ministers – really outweigh the future of thousands of MLSC students”? His remarks came in the middle of growing riots among the candidates for civil servants demanding a fair examination policy.
He emphasized two key unresolved requirements – an additional time of preparation for the main civil service test 2024 and increased vacancies during a combined preliminary examination. “These are legitimate concerns that fall directly into government, but still ignore. The administration signals that these problems are not interested?” he asked.
