Chenthi Anil gets bail
Former district Congress committee member Chenthi Anil has been granted bail in a case where he was accused of causing obstruction to Chief Minister VD Satheesan’s vehicle on the road.
He was granted bail by a court of first class, Vanchiyoor, on the condition that he cooperates with the police investigation. He is also required to appear before the investigating officer whenever required and should also not repeat similar offences.
It was last week that a group of Congress workers, led by Chenthi Anil, boycotted the Chief Minister to protest his non-participation in a local event. Police have registered a case against Chenthi Anil and others. He was later expelled from the Congress party.
