An interstate cyber fraudster from Rajasthan held in Adilabad district
The Adilabad District Police has arrested an interstate cybercriminal who allegedly cheated people through Instagram on the pretext of selling mobile spare parts and accessories.
The accused, Prakash Kumar, 22, of Kilwa village in Rajasthan’s Jalore district, allegedly duped about 140 victims in 19 states, including Telangana, of ₹5.30 crore, police said.
Kumar was arrested on the complaint of a mobile shop owner of Ichoda mandal who alleged that he was cheated of ₹2.18 lakh.
Police traced the accused through technical and cyber investigations and recovered two mobile phones and ₹100,000 in cash from him.
