Election authorities in Telangana are organizing special campaigns for filing complaints and objections under the ongoing Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls.
The campaigns, which will last for two days each, will be organized in two periods in all the polling stations in the state, a statement from the Chief Electoral Officer informed.
The first special campaign is scheduled for September 5th and 6th and the second for September 12th and 13th. Citizens who need to register as a voter or request to move or delete their vote can visit the designated locations at the polling station level to verify the draft list or file their claims and objections through Forms 6, 7 and 8.
Booth Level Officers will be available at the Polling Stations on the specified days and will go through the list of proposals with the Booth Level Agents to identify any corrections etc. and act as directed by the Election Commission of India.
The deadline for filing complaints and objections within the SIR is until September 16. During this time, the normal practice of filing complaints and objections at ERO (Electoral Registration Officers) offices would continue concurrently, the note informed.
