Apollo Cancer Centers Launches Cancer Survivor Support Community

Apollo Cancer Centres, Vanagaram has launched ‘Apollo Nambikkai’, a cancer survivorship support community to help survivors and caregivers stay connected, informed and supported after active treatment.
The initiative was launched as part of the Cancer Survivors Programme, which brought together approximately 100 survivors and caregivers to honor their journeys and acknowledge the challenges that can continue after treatment ends, the press release said.
The community will initially serve Apollo Cancer Centres, Vanagaram and will be open across all units. A dedicated WhatsApp community will allow members to stay engaged through expert sessions, interactions with survivors, nutrition and lifestyle counseling, mental well-being sessions, webinars and meetups, the report said.
The event was attended by Suresh, Head of Department and Principal Consultant, Medical Oncology, Apollo Cancer Centres, Vanagaram, Badava Gopi, comedian and actor; John Chandy, CBO, Group Oncology, Apollo Hospitals; and Kaarthik Ramamurthy, COO, Apollo Specialty Hospitals, Vanagaram.
