Congressional officials reject criticism of the BRS

The Telangana Congress on Tuesday stepped up its political attack on the BRS, accusing it of failing to deliver on promises during its decade-long rule and accusing the opposition of trying to undermine the Congress government through what it called “fake” polls and criticism of Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy.

Talking to the media at Gandhi Bhavan, Congress leaders sought to compare the welfare measures introduced by the Congress government with the record of the BRS during its 10 years in office. Under the leadership of Fisheries Cooperative Corporation Chairman Mettu Sai Kumar, a photo exhibition titled ‘Lies Versus Facts’ was organized, highlighting the promises of the previous BRS government and the plans implemented by the current Congress government.

Mr. Kumar alleged that several promises made by BRS remained unfulfilled. He said the Congress government is implementing its election assurances gradually and prioritizing welfare.

TPCC spokesperson Satyam Srirangam dismissed the BRS and BJP’s criticism of the Congress government and their proposed “charge sheet” against its performance.

In another political attack on the BRS, TPCC general secretary Chanagani Dayakar dismissed some recent polls predicting political gains for the opposition, calling them “fake”.

He expressed confidence that Congress candidates would win the upcoming two elections in the Graduate constituency.

Meanwhile, Telangana Cooperative Corporation Chairman Divyangula Muthineni Veeraiah condemned the remarks allegedly made by former minister Koppula Eshwar and former corporation chairman Vasudeva Reddy against minister Adluri Laxman.
