Standard Control Organization Central Drugs Standard (CDSCO) upgraded its online registration system and asked all medical manufacturers to re -submit market certificates and certificates for registration illegality. The aim of this step is to improve the ease of business and make the regulatory process more efficient.
The market certificate serves as evidence that the manufacturer or importer of medical devices has a valid license and has been actively involved in the business, import and selling of these facilities on the Indian market. It is basically a document verifying the credibility and compliance with the company’s regulatory standards. The Certificate of Certificate shall verify that the manufacturer or importer of medical devices has not been convicted of offenses related to safety, quality or performance of their facilities.
Meanwhile, the Association of Indian Health Redemakers (focused) on Monday wrote to the Central Government to ask it to impose on 12 key categories of medical devices based on 12 key categories of medical devices, warning that uncontrolled imports endanger domestic manufacturers. “In the ongoing business negotiations with the EU and the US, which are likely to reduce import obligations, Indian manufacturers could face serious injuries and insufficient capacity use unless immediate measures were taken,” the group said, warning that the delayed intervention could lead to financial anxiety, loss of jobs and increased dependence on foreign suppliers.
He added that the steepest increase was in injection syringes and needles, where imports flew sharply by 80%of $ 61 million to $ 111 million recently led by China (69%), USA (91%) and Singapore (64%). “Uncontrolled imports could cripple domestic production and the government should take immediate steps to protect local manufacturers, ensure employment and maintain health care. When India negotiates lower trade barriers with the EU and the US, the risk of market dominance with cheaper imports will appear.
