What did Rekha Gupta say to increase fees for private schools in Delhi?
CM Rekha Gupta told reporters that she had met her parents who shared their complaints and added that the rules on school fees had to be followed.
“My parents have met me with their complaints … it is certain … No school has any right to harass parents and children. They have no right to abnormally endanger children and increase fees. There are rules and regulations (to increase fees) to be followed,” she said.
As for what steps they will take, Gupta said: “If any school indulges in all these schools, he will have to suffer. Today we will issue notifications to all schools that we received complaints.”
Why do parents protest?
On April 8, according to the PTI report, the parents of some children who studied at a private school in Dwar were protesting outside the gates against a recent increase in fees.
Protesting parents claimed that their children were limited to the “arrest of the library” from March 20 to push their parents to give up increased fees. One parent said that their child’s right to education was denied and claimed that the school was ignoring the instructions from the district judge and the police.
The report added that the school did not respond to questions in this matter.
Delhi School Fee Hike: What has happened so far?

SOOD also stated that a committee composed of a deputy director for education and director of accounts was established. The Ministry of Education has launched the E -mail ID for parents to submit complaints to unauthorized fees.
