The statement of the main Minister West Bengal Mamata Banerjee that the amended WAQF law will not be introduced in its state “is not right”, said the Minister of the Union of Arjun Ram Meghwal on Monday (April 14, 2025).
His comments were in response to the question of violence in the district of Murshidabad in West Bengal on the WAQF Act (amendment) and the subsequent statement of the main minister.

She noted that during the Citizenship Act (amendment) noted that Mr. Meghwal said: “But CAA was implemented in West Bengal”.
“IT (WAQF Act) is a law adopted by a parliament that is carried out by Pan-India. If there is difficulty during its implementation, proposals can be submitted during rules framing,” Meguhwal said on the edge of the function to determine the 135th anniversary of Dr. Brid.

At least three people have been killed since Friday, and several others were injured by violence that broke out in the rubble, Dhulian, SamSerganj and Yangipur Muslim-Majorita Murshidabad.
After violence, the ban was banned according to Section 163 Bharatiya Nagarik Surraksha Sanhit (BNSS), the Internet was suspended and the BSF staff was deployed in affected areas of Murshidabad.
