Investment of ₹ 350 crore to create 2,300 jobs in Bihar

A meeting of the Project Approval Committee (PCC) of the Bihar Industrial Areas Development Authority (BIADA), under the Ministry of Industries, Government of Bihar, was held on Saturday (May 23, 2026) under the chairmanship of Kundan Kumar, Cum MD Secretary, Industries, Bihar Industrial Area Development Authority (BIADA) and Infrastructure Development Authority (IDA).

During the meeting, the committee approved 20 industrial projects and allocated nearly 30 acres of land for their establishment.

The proposed projects are expected to attract investments worth around ₹ 350 crore and create employment opportunities for around 2,300 people across the state.

Industries Minister Shreyasi Singh said that the newly approved industrial projects are to give a new impetus to Bihar’s industrial and technological development. She emphasized that these projects will create large-scale employment and skill-based opportunities for the local youth.

“The Government of Bihar remains committed to developing an investor-friendly ecosystem and becoming a modern industrial and manufacturing hub,” Ms. Singh said.

Mr. Kumar, on the other hand, said that the State Government was steadfastly committed to balanced and inclusive industrial development.

“Through BIADA, industrial plots are allotted to investors through transparent and time-bound processes. In addition, the government is ensuring a conducive investment environment through robust infrastructure, improved connectivity, streamlined procedures and strong policy support to facilitate fast and efficient implementation of projects,” Kumar said.

Approved projects cover a variety of industries, including food processing, software development, prefabricated building (PEB) manufacturing and production, furniture manufacturing, polyvinyl chloride (PVC) and unplasticized polyvinyl chloride (uPVC) pipe manufacturing, compressed biogas (CBG), healthcare and general manufacturing.

“These projects will strengthen the industrial base of the state and expand economic activities at the local level. The units will be set up in various industrial areas including Kumarbagh, Begusarai, Hajipur, Patliputra, Bariyarpur and Sasaram,” Mr. Kundan said.

Major approved companies include Bharat GPS Bioenergy Pvt. Ltd., Crispano Foods & Beverage Pvt. Ltd., SP Institute of Workforce Development Pvt. Ltd., Experia Prefaxo Pvt. Ltd., Rayush Healthcare Pvt. Ltd. and Makhayo Foods Pvt. Ltd., among others. He stated that the implementation of these projects will further accelerate industrial activity in Bihar and expand employment and self-employment opportunities for the youth of the state.
