Over the last 36 hours in the Murshidabad district there was no violence in the district of Murshidabad, the West Bengal Police said on Monday (April 14), adding that the process of returning people who fled their homes affected by violence.
“Our main priority is that normal life is restored. There has been no incident in the last 36 hours,” Jawed Shamim, Law and Order, told reporters. He also added that more companies were registered and the number of arrests exceeded 200.

Mr. Shamim said that the process of returning people who fled their house in the Murshidabad district to the Malda district began and about 19 people returned to their homes. The police officer said that about 100 to 200 families fled by crossing the river and married at a school in Baishnabnagar in the neighboring Malda district.
The opposition political parties, especially the Bharatiya Janata (BJP) party, claimed that about 400 people from Murshidabad had to escape from their homes to escape violence.
Mr. Shamim, who expresses the hope that the normality will be restored first, said those who were responsible for violence 11 and 12 April will not be spared. To accuse opposition parties that members of outfits such as the forbidden Folk Front India (PFI) may be involved, the police officer said he was the subject of an investigation.
“In the last 15 days, so many events (in the state) have been planned and all events and festivals have been observed peacefully. The range of mobilization on Friday and Saturday (11 and 12 April) was so high and several fronts were open at the same time, so it was possible to achieve all places with the same intensity,” ADG said.
Mr. Shamim also described the lynching of two members of the same family in Dhulian as a “abominable crime” and said that those who were responsible would not be spared. In violence of the 12th and 18th April, three persons were killed, who police suffered injuries of violence that protested to protest the draft WAQF Act (amendment).
In Murshidabad, the situation slowly returned to normal with central armed police forces carrying out the route processes. The police removed vehicles and prevented the demonstrators from reaching Sealdah in the middle Calcutta. Several people suffered injuries in an argument with the police. The ISF assembly was organized by ISF MLA NAWSHAD SIDDIQUE. He ordered his supporters not to use any other flag except the national flag in the procession from Sealdah to Esplanade.
