GHMC is intensifying its fight against mosquitoes

The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) has stepped up mosquito awareness and anti-larval activities across the city, urging residents to spend 10 minutes a week checking their homes and surroundings for standing water in their homes and surroundings to prevent its breeding and reduce the risk of mosquito-borne diseases.

Entomological teams of GHMC conduct awareness programs and anti-larval operations in residential areas and other vulnerable places. She advised residents to remove standing water from containers, flower pots, discarded tires and other commonly overlooked breeding sites.

The civic association urged residents to cooperate with field sanitation teams and make mosquito prevention a weekly practice. It also reminded citizens that only collective participation can keep the city clean, safe and protected from mosquito-borne diseases during the season.
