All India Majlis-E-Ithadul Muslimeen (Aimim) President Assaduddin Owaisi strongly criticized the draft WAQF law, approved by April 19, approved by “unconstitutional” and announced a protest public meeting under the All India Muslim Personal Law (Aimplb).
On Sunday, he said with the media that the leaders and members of Aimplb, as well as organizations such as Jamiat Ulama-E-Hind and Jamaat-E-Islam Hind, will participate in the protest and add that the WAQF committee has also been made.
Owaisi urged critics to read his disapproving remark about the bill and stated that it would help to distract “suspicion and misunderstanding” regarding WAQF. “It is said that if you have a handkerchief on a piece of Earth, it happens WAQF. How is it possible?” He asked and quoted how he and former deputies such as Barq and Asarul Haq Qasmi offered to make the corner of parliament because of lack of time. “Does it happen mine because of it?” said.
Mr. Owaisi stated that the WAQF Change Act violated several fundamental rights anchored in the Constitution. “This bill goes against articles 14, 15, 25, 26 and 29. It was not brought to protect the properties of WAQF, eliminate interventions or increase the income of WAQF. It is not in the interest of Muslims.”
He accused BJP and his allies, including Chandrababa Naida, Nitish Kumar, Chirag Paswan, Jayant Chaudhary, Jitan Ram Manjhi and HD Kumaraswamy, to support “black law” that “denies Muslim rights that are awarded to other religious communities”.
“Only members of these whirls can be used in the Hindus, Jain and Sikh foundations. They can receive qualities from people of other vortex and their foundations are protected. But Muslims have been deprived of this amendment,” he said.
Mr. Owaisi also claimed that the bill had undermined WAQF protection according to Section 3D. “Whether Masjid, Dargah, Khanqah, Imambada or Ashorakhan are about, after this law, they will no longer be registered as WAQF properties. There are about 180 such real estate and we will lose them,” he warned. “For example, Sambhal Masjid will no longer be the property of WAQF.”
The challenging Prime Minister Narendra Modi said, “Will Sambhal Masjid compare the Waqf property? And what about Gyan surpri Masjid and Mathra Masjid?
He also questioned the integration of section 2. “This was justified by Mr. Amit Shah in parliament as beneficial to Bohr Muslims. But there is no mention of Bohras in the provision.
