Tirupati NIELIT center to stay: Collector

Tirupati District Collector S. Venkateswar clarified that the National Institute of Electronics and Information Technology (NIELIT) center approved for Tirupati is not shifting to Amaravati as claimed by some sources.

He said, “The NIELIT center at Amaravati will strengthen Andhra Pradesh’s emerging leadership in quantum and artificial intelligence (AI), while the Tirupati center will further expand its scale.”

The Tirupati center was established at SV University with the approval of the Union Ministry of Electronics and IT. It became fully operational ahead of its formal inauguration on October 2, 2025. The center has already trained 4,308 candidates.
