Virat Kohli adds new tattoos to his collection, pictures go viral

Virat Kohli’s exploits with the bat and his unmistakable style have made him one of cricket’s most recognizable figures, but his collection of tattoos has also long been a part of his public persona. The former Indian captain has now added another remarkable piece of body art to his collection.

Photos doing the rounds on social media show Kohli with a new tattoo on his left arm. Located around his left bicep among his existing tattoos, the artwork appears to depict ripples spreading across the surface of water after a single drop falls into it. Images of the tattoo were posted by Instagram account ‘Allan F Gois’ and quickly caught the attention of fans online.

According to the post accompanying the images, the work has taken five sessions so far and is still being completed.

The latest addition is part of a larger effort to redesign Kohli’s left arm tattoo. Ahead of the start of IPL 2026, it was revealed that rather than cover up or remove the artwork he already had, he had the idea to start a project to restore and improve the existing designs, while bringing them together as part of one unified packaging that reflects his current journey.

The transformation began with a redesign of his Shiva-inspired bracelet, giving the tattoo more detail and definition. The artwork then transitions into an intricate dot mandala that serves as a focal point while also connecting the various elements across the arm. The overall design is said to represent the ideas of balance, focus and inner harmony.

Also incorporated higher up the arm are motifs including the lotus and peony, images commonly associated with perseverance and personal growth. However, the deeper meaning of each element has been deliberately kept private, so fans can admire the artwork without knowing the full story behind it.
