(Pic Credit: RCB) New Delhi: The Royal Challengers Bengalur (RCB) took the fields in their iconic green jerseys against Rajasthan Royals on Sunday at the Sawai Mansingh stadium and strengthened their obligation to sustainability of the environment. Jersey Special Edition is part of the annual “Go Green” initiative, which raises awareness of protection and encourages fans to plant more trees.
After winning the throwing, Captain RCB Rajat Patidar decided to mix first and emphasized the reason for the green set. “We will mix first. The surface looks pretty hard and good. We will know how the pitch behaves. This (Green Jersey) is to raise awareness of the planting of multiple trees. The same team for us,” Patidar said.

Patidar, who spoke before the match, stressed that the opportunity was important to the team. “It’s a special game with our green initiative and wearing the green jersey is even more special and exciting,” he said. “We take it after one game at once. If everyone is confident, we look like we’ll make the most of it. We focus on playing a good cricket, not on what place it is.”
Green Jersey RCB is made of Puma’s Re: Fiber Fabric – made of 95% recycled polyester from textile and plastic waste. The set is designed to be recycled several times without risk. Fans can return the jersey for a new one next season and complete the RCB sustainability cycle: Return. Recycle. Repeat.
RCB COO Rajesh Menon added: “Our green jerseys are more than just a symbol; they are a challenge to the event. As proud of the garden city representatives, sustainability is a natural priority for us.”
