Hyderabad property market remains strong: CREDAI

The real estate market in Hyderabad continues to witness strong demand, with over 26,100 homes sold during the first half of 2026, according to CREDAI Hyderabad. The figures were released at the launch of the three-day CREDAI Hyderabad Property Show 2026 at the Hitex Exhibition Centre. Themed ‘Rate Aagadhu, Demand Thaggadhu’, the event will showcase over 300 RERA-approved projects from over 60 developers till August 30.

CREDAI Hyderabad president-elect B. Jagannath Rao said the houses sold in the first half of the calendar year represented nearly 60 million square feet of super built-up area, making Hyderabad India’s leading market in terms of absorbed residential area. The average home size was around 2,300 sq ft, while the average ticket size rose 10% year-on-year to ₹2.03 billion.

Telangana Chief Secretary Sanjay Jaju, who inaugurated the real estate exhibition, said that real estate and real estate development are an important part of the economic growth of the state. He said the government is committed to creating an environment that supports good, credible and transparent development and expects the sector to continue to contribute to investment and growth in Telangana.

CREDAI Hyderabad President N. Jaideep Reddy has asked the government to intervene in the outstanding issues related to 10% mortgage on planning permission and NALA related files. He called for either removing the mortgage in view of RERA or bringing it down to 5%, saying it would free up capital for developers. The association also sought more clarity on allowing developers to pay NALA fees along with the construction approval process.
