The social media has become a disturbing video that shows three men urine against a wall decorated with colored murals of Hindu deities and religious symbols. The shots, allegedly from Gorakhpur Uttar Pradesh, attracted a massive flake from the online community. The mural, seemingly painted to discourage open urination by inducing religious respect, instead became a symbol of irony. Despite the presence of sacred images that were supposed to discourage such behavior, men seem alleged.
The headline that accompanies the video is: “Photographs of Hindu deities must not be painted on the walls in India 🇮🇳 nothing can stop people with 0 civil sense to open open.” It also sarcastically questioning whether individuals are “blind” to the presence of deities that do not respect.
Netizens reacted strongly and marked significant leaders such as up cm yogi adityanath and trade union ministers Amit Shah and AMIT Malviya, demanding responsibility and immediate action. Many have questioned logic using religious images as a discouraging means than investing in basic infrastructure, such as public toilets.
“Why make our gods who will protect their duty? Let them stay in the temples, not on the walls of public urinals,” wrote one user, and many of them reflected in sentiment. Another one added: “Kindly take measures to restore hindic dignity.”
