
Five people were arrested and a few elephants were confiscated on Friday.
A team of forest staff, which worked at the entrance entrances provided by the Office for the inspection of wild animals, captured the vehicle in Ramja Nagar on the Tiruchi-Dindigul highway and conducted questions with passengers. One of the passengers carried a few ivory tusks, each weighing 750 and 500 grams. They were on their way from Manapparai to Tiruch. The officials then caught the enemas and arrested K. Gnanasecaran of Subramaniyapuram in Tiruch and N. Ramaswamy, U. Thirupathi, T. Subramaan and T. Karthik of Manappaai for charging the walls of the walls.
The defendants were then ceded in custody for 15 days after they were made in court.
