The state government granted an administrative sanction for obtaining land for the proposed airport for Erumes.
According to sources, the government seizes the government to continue to acquire land in accordance with land acquisition, rehabilitation and relocation (Larr), 2013.
It is reported that the government, as proposed by the experts’ committee, should consider the possibility to offer a special package in the appointment of land administrator under the law of the LARR law.
The new order was issued after considering the report on the assessment of social impacts, the recommendations of the SIA report and the SIA report and the report of the district collector about it. In the district collector report, the land stated that the land would be obtained under Section 7 (5) of the Larr Act.
This is the second time the government is undergoing a land acquisition process, because the previous announcement for both SIA and land acquisition was abolished by the government after objections from charity confidence in Ayana (formerly the Gospel for Asia) and the locals whose land was acquired.
According to the new order, the airport project can be obtained a total of 1,039,876 ha (2,570 acres) land in Erumaly to the south and villages of Manimala. This includes 2,263-car-chervally assets and 307 acres located outside the estate.
In the next step, the government will issue a notice of obtaining land pursuant to Section 11 (1) of the Larr Act, which is a preliminary notification for land acquisition. Subsequently, the government will launch an official soil survey according to Section 12 and prepare a set of precise extent of the land to be obtained with the numbers of the survey. This will be followed by the announcement of the rehabilitation package and relocation (RR), as stated in Section 19 (1) of the Larr Act.
