In what is expected to encourage large labor in the planned employment, the Government of Karnataka announced the minimum wage wage on Friday and proposed a monthly range from 19,319.36 GBP for unskilled workers in zone 3 to a maximum of 34 225.42 GBP for thermal stations.
As part of the industries in Zone 1, the proposed monthly minimum wage for a highly qualified worker is 31.114.02 GBP.
The proposed increase in the proposal from the Ministry of Labor is a huge 70% increase compared to existing wages, including wages with variable expensive wages, and comes at a time when the price increase was influenced by the Lakhs families.
The notification concerns the estimated two workers of Crore across 100 planned jobs, of which 18 added in recent years, based on the Supreme Court Directive in the case of Rapticos Brett.
Wage revision is ordered at least once every five years according to the Minimum Wage Act. The last revision of the wages was carried out by the BJP government in 2022, which increased wages by 5% to 10% in 34 planned employment.
The proposal of the announcement issued on Friday withdrew the announcement 2022 and proposed a new proposal.
The proposal was published by searching for objections, if they exist, and later will be placed before the advisory board of the minimum wage platform, which connects employers, representatives of employees and government officials together- before the final notice is issued. It is expected that the whole process will take at least three months before the wage increase is finally announced.
Back to three zones
The new announcement returns to three zones from the existing classification of four wage calculations. The fourth zone added in the last revision brought anomalies and in some cases reduced wages. While zone 1 covers the BBMP area, zone 2 will cover the district residence and other urban corporations and zone 3 will cover the rest of the areas in the state. For the first time, the minimum wage revision across all planned employment was carried out in one notification for the trade unions.
The secretary of the Aituc Karnataka M. Satyanand welcomed the announcement and stated that the Congress Government made a long -term requirement to calculate the minimum wages on the basis of the RAPTICOS Brett case. “It comes at a time when the workforce was in the last five to six inflation years in stress.”
Be invited
Meanwhile, the President of the Association of Employers Karnataka BC Prabhakar said they would object to the proposal and later attack it legally. “The proposed steep hike causes the minimum Karnataka wage to be the highest in the country that beats Delhi. It can be counterproductive, which increases production costs. Some industries could migrate to neighboring countries where minimum wages are much lower.
For those in religious institutions
For the first time, the minimum wages were extended to those who work in religious institutions, including temples, mutts, mosques, among other things. There are 18 new planned jobs that have been introduced. Others include non -paying staff in private schools, universities and educational institutions. Employees in electronic trading companies and courier companies were also included.
