Vinay Kulkarni returns to Dharwad after five years

Dharwad MLA Vinay Kulkarni, who was banned from entering Dharwad district in connection with the murder of zilla panchayat member Yogeeshgouda Goudar in 2021, returned to the city after five years on Friday.

Mr. Kulkarni, who is now out on bail, has been allowed to enter Dharwad district. However, he is prohibited from holding public functions and parades.

Accordingly, Mr. Kulkarni was welcomed without much fanfare by his family members and followers.

On his return to Dharwad, Mr. Kulkarni visited the temples and the Murugha Mutt and sought the blessings of the oracle.

Mr. Kulkarni contested the 2023 election and won it without entering the district for agitation. His wife and daughters campaigned for him at the time.
