LeadHERship brings together female leaders for conversations in the workplace

Industry leaders and emerging professionals gathered in Hyderabad on Thursday for a two-hour interactive LeadHership event focusing on gender, ambition, leadership and professional networking in the workplace.

Organized by Ananya-Women@Work, a Diversity, Equality, Inclusion and Belonging (DEIB) consultancy, and TheProjeKT40, a support network for women at career transition points, the event sought to create an open platform for conversations about women’s leadership.

The session featured candid insights from industry leaders on navigating workplace dynamics and power structures, in addition to building reliable professional support networks. Speakers drew on their experiences to highlight the challenges women face in assuming leadership roles and share practical strategies to address them.

The event went beyond regular lectures and participants engaged in focused conversations around the table. They shared personal experiences, discussed workplace situations, and explored ways to navigate organizational power structures while supporting and mentoring others.

Organizers said such conversations are increasingly important as workplaces evolve and organizations redefine leadership. Building supportive professional communities and addressing structural barriers are critical to creating more equitable workplaces where women can thrive, they say.
