The Government of the Union abolished IPS T. Prabhakar Rao, PrimeaSed in a sensational case of eavesdropping on telephone calls of politicians, bureaucrats and judge of the High Court.
According to police records, Mr. Rao fled from the country soon after he learned to register the knocking case on the Punjagutta phone in March 2024. He retreats and hides in the US.
With the abolition of his passport, the reef officer would have no choice but to return to India. At the Theangana High Court, he has already filed a criminal proposal for a predictive bail in the case of his arrest after returning to India.
“But the abolition of the passport would mean that he could no longer remain in the US. An announcement of the red corner has already been issued for him,” said the highest police officer associated with the investigation on condition of anonymity.
The officer said the passports Sravan Kumar Rao, another accused who allegedly fled the ground but returned to India, and Mr. Rao was canceled. The investigators wrote the central government to abolish their passports, which were missing with the phone knocking case and the need to take them into police custody.
Mr. Prabhakar Rao joined the police department as a representative of the police director after he was selected for the IP group service. He finally received IPS and held key contributions to the department. While it served as a special IGP intelligence branch, he received full additional fees for the state news wing.
After retirement, the then government BRS expanded its service and appointed him as a chief of operations in the department. In the course of the investigation, serious accusations were dealt with.
When he learned that he had fled to the US, the TELANGANA police were chasing the Union’s government to issue a red -corner announcement against it. Although the announcement was issued, Interpol did not mention it on its website, suggesting that the possibility has escaped or alerts.
“Previously, he tried to get political asylum in the US and quote the political vendette in Telangana. But this action was allegedly dismissed,” said the officer looking for anonymity.
