Meet discusses new trends in cardiovascular interventions
The annual conference of the Society of Invasive Cardiovascular Professionals (SICPCON 2026) began here on Saturday.
It brought together cardiovascular specialists, cath lab experts, cardiac technologists and healthcare specialists from across the country. They will discuss the latest advances in invasive cardiology and catheter-based cardiac procedures.
SICP President Johnson PJ opened the conference.
“Innovations in interventional cardiology, imaging technologies, precision-guided procedures and minimally invasive technologies are reshaping modern heart care. Continued scientific training and multidisciplinary collaboration are essential to ensure safer procedures and better outcomes for cardiac patients,” said Johnson PJ.
SICPCON Secretary Jayapalan MP said the conference was designed as a scientifically intensive academic platform for cardiovascular healthcare professionals focusing on real-world advances in interventional cardiology, cath lab best practices and emerging cardiovascular technologies.
He said the conference will place special emphasis on hands-on learning, multidisciplinary coordination and patient safety in invasive cardiac procedures.
The two-day scientific program features expert-led sessions on complex coronary interventions, image-guided angioplasty, structural heart disease interventions, radiation safety, cardiac emergency care, and emerging device technologies that are changing cardiovascular care practices.
