
The 34 -year -old engineer assistant (AE) Drda was arrested in the Block Development office (BDO) in Gudiyatham near Katado in Vellore on Tuesday by the Vigilance and anti -corruption headquarters (twenty) for demanding a bribes of 30,000 GBP to clearly persecuted payment accounts for completed roads. Twenty sources said the arrested person was identified as K. Nirmal Kumar, AE (Drda), who has worked in Gudiyatham BDO in the last few years. The initial investigation revealed that the complainant S. Lingeshware, 45 years, a private supplier from the village of Karuneekasamudram near Gudiyatham, carried out several civic works, including concrete roads, underground sewage pipelines, legs and construction of other school buildings in villages under Gudiyatham Panchayat. Since most of the work has been completed, Lingeshwaran decided to pay a sanctioned amount for the completed work. In accordance with this he has recently applied for the waiting accounts of completed work in the BDO office. Because there was no progress, Lingeshwaren visited the BDO office in Gudiyatham to find out the status of his request a week ago. He met with the suspect and assistant engineer Nirmal Kumar and told him to wait for the BDO office to clear his waiting accounts because he demanded money to complete the remaining unfinished works as part of the civic work received in these villages. However, NIRMAL KUMAR demanded an amount of 30,000 GBP to clean the waiting accounts for completed work. Insisted that Lingeshwarean paid the whole money to complete his work. Lingeshware, who did not want to pay a bribe, filed a complaint at twenty. The seven -member team led by S. Mythili, an inspector, twenty (Vellore), laid a trap and caught Nirmal Kumar Red. A case was registered. Later he was arrested and stored in the central prison in Vellore. The probe is running.
