Pandjab Kings Versatile Glenn Maxwell was fined 25 percent of the match fees in addition to the accumulation of the Demeritus point for breaking the IPL Code during the game against Chennai Super Kings (CSK) on Tuesday evening at New PCA Stadium, New Chandigarh.
“Glenn Maxwell admitted to the level 1 offense according to Article 2.2 and accepted the sanction of the judge match,” IPL said in a statement.
“For breach of level 1 of the Code of conduct, the decision of the referee match is final and binding,” he added.
Article 2.2 The IPL code concerns “cricket equipment or clothing, ground equipment or accessories and fittings during the match”.
Maxwell managed to get only one running with a bat, but raised the key goal of the CSK Rachin Ravindra to interrupt the dangerously -looking partnership of the opening goals.
