17 booked for Rajkumar Road clash

The Magadi Road police have registered a case against 17 persons for their alleged involvement in a violent public brawl that disrupted traffic and created panic among the public on Dr. Rajkumar Road in Rajajinagar.

According to the FIR, the incident took place on July 23 between 9.40pm and 10.30pm at Dr. Rajkumar Road. During the night patrol, the police noticed about 18 to 20 people shouting, attacking and trying to attack each other on the public road.

The police immediately intervened, dispersed the crowd and brought the situation under control.

During investigation, the police found that the clash took place over a trivial dispute between Siddaraj, the owner of a mobile phone shop, and Deepak, the owner of another mobile shop, with their associates joining the confrontation.

Acting on a tip-off filed by Assistant Sub-Inspector Kumar KR, the Magadi Road police registered a case.
