Another ₹ 99.40 crore released for development of Vemulawada temple

The ongoing expansion and development work at the historic Sri Raja Rajeshwara Swamy Temple at Vemulawada in Rajanna Sircilla district will get a big boost as the state government will release an additional ₹99.40 crore on Saturday (July 25).

According to temple sources, the government had earlier allocated ₹50 crore in the 2023–24 budget and ₹100 crore in the 2024–25 budget for the temple construction work. The development work, estimated to cost ₹150 crore, is going on with nearly 45% of the work complete, sources added.

With the latest release, the total funds sanctioned for the development of the historic temple, popularly known as ‘Dakshin Kashi’, rose to ₹249 crore.
