Mayank Yadav equaled Bhuvneshwar Kumar’s T20I record with the first wicket against Zimbabwe
Indian bowler Mayank Yadav (AP Photo/Wonder Mashura) Mayank Yadav has done it again. the pacer struck with the very first ball of Zimbabwe’s innings and dismissed Brian Bennett for a golden duck in the 3rd T20I, repeating the performance he produced in the series opener.At 147km/h, Mayank sent a sharp short ball that broke away from the surface and rose awkwardly. Caught on the back foot trying to defend, Bennett could only kick the ball towards first slip where Vaibhav Sooryavanshi showed brilliant reflexes to complete a crisp chest-high catch to his left. Mayank immediately jumped in the air and celebrated with a typical roar after claiming another wicket with the first ball.

With the dismissal, Mayank Yadav equaled Bhuvneshwar Kumar’s Indian record for wickets with the first ball of a T20I innings three times. He also moved ahead of Hardik Pandya who did it twice.India bowlers with wickets from the first ball of the T20I innings

Mayank first achieved the milestone in the opening T20I on 23 July when he marked his return after a two-year injury lay-off by dismissing Brian Bennett in the very first delivery of the match. He finished with impressive figures of 2/18. He produced an identical start three days later, again removing Bennett off the opening ball to continue his dream comeback.
