In order to streamline property documentation by digitizing traditional Khata certificates, the state government launched the E-Khata system, digital property record, Minister for Rural Development and Panchayat Raj Priyank Kharge said after the start of the E-Khata campaign on Monday.
Mr. Kharge said that in the last period of one and a half years, approximately 11.50 Lakh real estate in rural areas throughout the state has been added to the tax register and collected a real estate tax of 1,272 crore. This would help strengthen Panchayats and take over development projects and maintain infrastructure in rural areas.
The system has already been implemented in some districts through E-bithu within the RDPR department for the registration of real estate in rural areas and through e-Aasthi in urban areas. He urged people to use the E-Khata system to ensure the property of the property.
Blueprint for an intelligent city
In order to increase the aesthetic attraction of the city of Kalaburagi, a plan with the design of an intelligent city will be prepared in the next two months. The Smart City initiative would include the beautification of the city, intelligent roads and improved sewerage and infrastructure development, Mr. Kharge added.
