Working President Bharat Rashtra Samithi Kt Rama Rao referred to the population of the state, students of the University of Hyderabad (UAH) and environmental lovers to connect with their hands to protect the country of Kancha Gachibowli and the future of UOH.
In an open letter addressed to them on Sunday, he said there were about 734 plant species, 220 bird varieties, 7 types of reptiles and 10 mammals. However, the government plans to auction 400 acres of land to suit its financial needs, all would destroy them. He claimed that the government revealed a new plot to move UOH to another place named Eco Park, because students received calls from unknown persons that the university would be moved to the fourth urban area if they did not stop protests against the government step to 400 hectares.
Mr. Rama Rao demanded that the government to cancel the plans to sell the land of 400 hectares after the spirit of observing the Supreme Court and protect the UOH.
Meanwhile, the Joint Action Committee of Student UOH demanded that the state government to hand over the land of Kancha Gachibowli by 400 hectares, which would be planned as auction at the Central University.
On Sunday there was a meeting of JAC students of students UOH, Jac Osmania University Students ‘, All India BC Student’ and All India BC Welfare Association. At the meeting, Member of Rajya Sabha and the President of the Association BC Welfare Association R. Krishnaiah, he said that the state government (combined Andhra Pradesh) was assigned 2,300 acres of land.
Given that the whole country was not transferred to the university, its infrastructure could not be expanded, including the establishment of new research facilities and new hostels. It was now for the Thelangany government to convert the entire allocated land, including 400 acres. He also demanded that cases registered against UAH students be canceled to protect the country.
