The Karnataka police chief is directing adequate arrangements for the protests across the state

The instructions came in the light of ongoing protests by student unions and the Cockroach Janta Party over the NEET paper leak and the furore that followed after charges by law enforcement agencies left several protesters injured.

Speaking to presspersons on Friday, Mr. Saleem said that all senior officers have been directed to ensure that no untoward incident takes place anywhere. “Protests can be held, but participants should ensure that they are conducted in accordance with the law and in places designated for such gatherings,” Mr Saleem said.

Meanwhile, the Bengaluru Central Division police have deployed an adequate bandobast at the Freedom Park in the heart of the city as protests continue for the past six days. A senior officer said regular meetings are held to prepare and execute bandobast plans. No unusual incidents have been reported so far.
