Basavaraja Bommai, a deputy and former main minister, said on Sunday that Karnataka should conduct interviews with Tamil Nadu and solve blocking at the Mekedat project.
“Congress leaders who rule the state today organized a few years ago Padayatra for Mekedat. It is time for them to show the political will for the project.
“Now is the time to show your commitment. Their ally DMK is at Tamil over the power. Only five minutes of dialogue with them could solve the problem,” Mr. Bommai said.
He said that the Union’s government has already approved the DPR (detailed project report) for Kalasa-Banduri projects. “Environmental check -in will be awarded very soon. The Yettinahole project requires no center approval,” he added.
Mr. Bommai said that BJP would protest daily and night on April 10 against an increase in prices and what he called the politics against the people of the state government.
He said that WAQF change will ensure justice for all, including poor Muslims and farmers.
