Students protest against paper leak, police action in Delhi
Members of the Naujawan Bharat Sabha (NBS) and Disha Students’ Organization staged a protest at the Gandhi statue near the GVMC office on Thursday against alleged paper leaks, fraud in investigations and police action against students protesting at Jantar Mantar in New Delhi.
Protesters expressed solidarity with the student agitation in the capital and condemned what they described as an attack by the Delhi Police on the protesters.
Speaking on the occasion, student organization member Disha Avinash said the protests should continue until Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan resigns. Naujawan Bharat Sabha member Sujan demanded the abolition of the National Testing Agency (NTA) and said the movement will continue until accountability is established. He also argued that growing inequality is the cause of paper leakage and a lack of opportunities for education and employment. The protest ended with slogans being raised and protest songs being sung.
