Commonwealth Games 2026: India’s complete program for July 24 in Glasgow
India’s 2026 Commonwealth Games campaign continues on Friday, July 24, with medal opportunities in para powerlifting and gymnastics, swimming, bowls and boxing events in Glasgow.
This is India’s 19th appearance at the Commonwealth Games. Since 2002, India has finished in the top five of the medal table every year. They have also won at least 50 medals in each of the last six Commonwealth Games, underscoring their consistency on the biggest stage.

Friday’s biggest medal hopes lie in para powerlifting. Ashok Kumar Malik, Parmjeet Kumar, Jaspreet Kaur, Suman Devi, Kasthuri Rajamani, Jhandu Kumar and Sudhir will all be in action across various weight categories as India look to add to their medal tally.
Rupa Rani Tirkey and Pinki head to the lawn in bowls continue your winning streak after an impressive opening day win. In the 2nd round match, they will face South Africans Thabelo Muvhango and Jacqui van Rensburg.

Putul Sonowal will also return to action after causing one of the biggest upsets of the opening day by beating 2023 world champion Ryan Bester of Canada. The Indian will take on Falkland Islands’ Cecil Alexander in the second sectional round of the men’s singles.
Indian gymnasts will begin their campaign with Tapeshwarnath Das, Swathish KP, Tapan Mohanty and Yogeshwar Singh competing in the men’s team and individual rounds. The quartet will also battle for the men’s team finals later in the evening.
In the pool, para swimmer RVVBK Budigina will compete in the heats of the men’s 100m freestyle S13 before the final later in the night if he qualifies. Olympian Srihari Nataraj will begin his campaign in the heats of the men’s 50m breaststroke, looking to secure a place in the semi-finals.
Boxing competition will also get underway in India where Jadumani Singh will take on Scotsman Aaron Cullen in the men’s 55kg round of 32.

3:56 p.m.: Swimming – Srihari Nataraj in the men’s 50m breaststroke heats. Semi-finals later in the day if you qualify.
5:40 p.m.: Para Powerlifting (Medaile Event) – Ashok Kumar Malik and Parmjeet Kumar in the Men’s Lightweight category.
19:24: Para Powerlifting (Medaile Event) – Jaspreet Kaur and Suman Devi in the women’s lightweight category.
7:30 p.m.: Bowls – Rupa Rani Tirkey and Pinki Vs. Thabelo Muvhango and Jacqui van Rensburg of South Africa in the Women’s Doubles Sectional Round 2.
22:00: Gymnastics – Men’s Team Final (medal event).
