Telangana ACB raided 15 locations associated with DE power company in case of disproportionate assets

The Telangana Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) on Wednesday (July 22, 2026) conducted simultaneous searches at 15 places associated with the Deputy Engineer of Telangana State Southern Power Distribution Company Limited after registering a disproportionate assets case against him for allegedly holding assets beyond his known sources of income.

The official, identified as Muthyam Venkataramana, is serving as Deputy Engineer.

Raids are conducted at the official’s residences, office premises and the houses of his relatives across the state. Investigators are examining financial records, bank transactions and documents related to land and other properties to verify the allegations.

The searches follow the registration of a case of disproportionate assets against the deputy engineer.

The raids were ongoing at the time of reporting and further details are awaited.
