VIT works with venture capital firms to invest in student startups

VIT has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Singapore-based Thinkuvate and Indore-based ValleyNXT, both early-stage institutional venture capital firms, to support and fund student-led startups.

Under the agreement, the two firms will jointly invest up to ₹10 crore in home-grown startups founded by VIT students, with each contributing ₹5 crore.

“Over the next 2-3 years, we will invest in two to three startups, subject to due diligence. We will invest around ₹2-3 crore in each startup,” said Addison Appu, Managing Partner, ThinKuvate Ventures.

Thinkuvate, a venture capital firm based in Singapore and India, specializes in early-stage investments with a strong focus on deep tech, fintech and healthcare. The partnership is expected to expand opportunities for startups across India and Southeast Asia.

ValleyNXT focuses on solving real challenges in areas such as health, education, climate, employment and livelihoods.
