Jio, Airtel, BSNL have called for expansion of network and internet services in Chintoor agency

Chintoor Integrated Tribal Development Agency (ITDA) project director Subham Nokwal on Tuesday assured support to telecom companies, including Jio, Airtel and BSNL, to facilitate their services in the interior areas of Chintoor agency in Polavaram district.

Interacting with the representatives of Jio, Airtel and BSNL, Mr. Subham Nokwal informed them that due to the absence of telecom network and internet services in the agency areas, the tribals were not able to access services including education, banking, medical and health and online government services.

The telecommunication companies were provided with the necessary land for the establishment of towers for the provision of 5G and high-speed Internet services in the agency. Officials were directed to identify suitable sites and plots of land for the construction of mobile towers.
