KC Unniyanujan Raja, 100 years, the head of the former Zamorin’s Kozhikode family, died on Thursday.
He underwent treatment of age -related diseases in a private hospital in the city for about a week. Death occurred around 17:15, his body will be held at the town hall to give up respect between 8:00 and 23:00 on Friday. Later, deadly remains will be transported to Kottakkal Kizhakke Kovilakam, his ancestors in Malappuram. The last ceremonies will be made in the family crematorium in the afternoon. His wife Malathi Nethyar from the Misnambra family in 2011 his predecessor. He survived his daughters Sarasija Ajith Kumar, Shanthi Balagopal and Maya Govind.
Unniyanujan Rajan was born on July 8, 1925 and was the fourth child Kuberan namboothoothiripad and Kunjumati from the Kizhakke Kovilakam branch branch of the Zamorin family. He is studied at Raja’s High School, Kotkal, Zamorin’s Guruvayuppan College and Chengalvalya Engineering College, then Madras. His professional career began at the Integral Coach factory in Parmbur, Tamil Nadu, and later moved to Tata Steel in Jamshedpur, Bihar and HMT in Kalamassery, Ernacula. He was also a qualified photographer.
According to his family members, the interests of Unniyanujan Raja ranged from traditional mathematics to advanced computer technology, which led him to extensive travel and managed modern technology. He was reportedly among the first to run a computer numeric control machine. In 1969, when HMT bought a CNC machine from a German company, no one in the company had expertise to run it. Unniyanujan Raja traveled to Germany at the expense of the company to obtain training.
At a time when ordinary people barely heard of projectors, Unniyanujan Raja installed home cinema in Ernacula. He introduced the pictures he brought from abroad. Before the government launched a digital survey, Unniyanujan Raja arranged for accurate digital mapping of more than a hundred acres of College College Guruvayuppan, which ensured its border definition.
