The owner of a fast food restaurant will be jailed for a day for violating the night operating hours

An LB Nagar court sentenced the owner of a fast food joint in Shaheen Nagar to one day’s imprisonment for repeatedly operating his business beyond the permitted night time despite repeated warnings from the police.

Convicted Sheikh Zafar (40), who runs Zafar Kebab & Fast Food Center in Shaheen Nagar under Balapur police station limits, was found guilty of violating the prescribed closing time of commercial establishments.

According to the police, cases were already registered against him when he operated a dispensary beyond the permitted time. Despite repeated warnings, he allegedly continued in practice.

Police said another case was registered against him on July 13 after he was again found operating a fast food outlet after the stipulated closing time. On Tuesday, he was produced before the Special Metropolitan Court in LB Nagar, where the court sentenced him to one day’s imprisonment.

Following the order, the Balapur police appealed to the shop owners to observe the prescribed business hours and cooperate with the law enforcement agencies to maintain law and order.
