BJP MP Kangana Ranaut on Tuesday claimed that all the MPs were inside the Parliament premises when the CJP protest march took place outside on Monday, adding that the MPs were scared that a “mob” might attack them.

She also appreciated the Delhi Police and said they played the role of a shield.

“All the MPs were inside the Parliament. We were all scared, we thought the mob might attack us. I appreciate the Delhi Police for playing the role of a shield and not letting people get hurt,” Ranaut said.

“You can’t make the government decide who to fire and who to keep. This hand-wringing is not good,” Ranaut also said.

Regarding the opposition MPs raising slogans in the House to demand discussions on the NEET controversy and the alleged case of misappropriation of the Ram Mandir donation, Ranaut said, “Our parliamentary session is for – so that we can discuss all the issues in detail and the government is responsible for everything. That is its purpose and we want the session to go on and to raise their questions and create chaos there, but to raise their questions then it is not right.”

Nadda checks on the injured students

Union Minister JP Nadda visited the Ram Manohar Lohia (RML) and Lady Hardinge hospitals in New Delhi on Tuesday to inquire about the condition of the protesters who were injured, PTI reported.

The hospital management informed the minister about the condition of the students, saying that they are all under medical supervision and receiving the necessary treatment.

Diljit Dosanjh urges authorities to listen to students’ demands

Singer-actor Diljit Dosanjh expressed his support to the students after the police action during the CJP protests on July 20.

He urged the authorities to listen to the demands of the students and said that the voice of the people is the voice of God. Diljit said that students deserve to be treated with dignity and that he has been called “anti-national” several times and expects to face similar criticism again. He also said he faced backlash after the farmers’ protest and faced legal issues he could not discuss publicly.
